Autumnal Robeby MistyMuckyComment: Nice colours in the foliage, though this shot to me is more about the town than the trees. Still very nice colours and a nice shot. |

Yieldby HipychikComment: I just came across this in your profile. It's such a great shot, exactly the kind of thing I love and go out looking for myself. It's just fun to look at and think about and wonder, love it! |

early aspen colorby ErikTurnerComment: This is a little cluttered and lacking any real subject. I think you have some nice colours in there, but they're a bit let down by possibly the processing or the light at the time. |

Fire in the skyby Yo_SpiffComment: I never got a chance to comment on this during the challenge, but I found it to be one of the far more interesting and entertaining shots this month!
I'm surprised you expected it to score in the 5's, it's an outstanding, clear, well composed shot with great colours and that's without even mentioning the subject which is also great. If you ask me it deserved to do better than water drops and landscapes which hogged the top spots!

Down by the riverby wildirisComment: You have the dubious honour of being my 1000th comment, so I chose your shot as it reminds me a lot of my home in Scotland :)
I love the colours here, you have managed to capture some really nice strong reds and yellows. I also like the way that the ripples in the reflection actually makes it look a bit like fire, which has taken it away from being just another reflection shot and turned it into something far more interesting.
I'm actually undecided whether I like the water part or the land part more! I'm glad you chose not to go with the long exposure on the water like so many other shots do.
The lighting is also very nice, it has given the whole scene a warm feeling to it, while being subtle and not creating any harsh shadows.
On the down side, the composition feels a little closed. The hill on the far side of the water looks really interesting, I find my eye drawn to the top of the frame wishing I could see more. I would have liked wider on the water too, I think again because it's such an interesting part of the shot to look at, I find myself wanting to see more.
Overall, a great shot, and one that really appeals to me! |

On the turnby alpharichComment: I love all the different colours here, particularly the strong red ones in the upper section. There is a slight lack of subject, it doesn't hurt the shot too much as you do have the sky which gives a bit of an escape. |

cape cod colorby whiterookComment: This shot is a bit messy. There's no real subject to settle on and all the colours just seem to blend together. |

The Flower Hunterby aplomb76Comment: What a great capture, love all the detail you have managed to get on the little guy sitting amongst all those leaves that dwarf him in comparison! |

Fall Pastureby karenkComment: Nice country side feel to this shot. It has a great early morning cold look, reminds me of being back home in Scotland! |
