My First Christmas Tree by SonifoComment: Great lighting.Helps to give that dreamy effect. She seems almost like a porcelain doll.
The reflection in the eye and her expression on her face is what makes this shot simply amazing.
I would love to see the EXIF info and settings for a shot like this. Message edited by author 2003-12-08 22:55:32. |

What men with millions made (Tidal Canal)by jmritzComment: Need to up the contrast. The shot looks a bit flat.
Otherwise the scene is composition is very nice. I like how your eyes are lead from the foreground toward the sunset by the road and the white fence. The angle of the clouds also lead your eyes toward the sun. |

Something blue...by amazoneeaComment: The subjects are place in a nice composition. The flowers are arranged beautifully.
I would have liked more color. Seems kind of flat. Also the reflective material in the cloth leads your eyes to it instead of the main subject. Maybe a narrower crop would help keep the interest there. I gave you a "7" |

Holy Smokeby amazoneeaComment: Absolutely beautiful great smoke trailing. The pinkish color really helps to make the subject pop out and interesting.
The only I didn't like was the background. The dark part distracts a bit from the smoke. Gave you a "9" |

Size doesn't matter!by amazoneeaComment: Beautiful scene. Would make for a great holiday greetings card. Incredible capture. This photo shows it is definitely worth it to chase a subject.
This picture didn't really give me a great sense of "propaganda" but because of the quality of the picture I gave you an "8" |

A scented candleby amazoneeaComment: The background you chose works very well with the composition. Helps to make it seem like it was photographed outside. Nice glow from the flame highlights the pine giving a great hue.
Give the picture a slightly bit more depth of field would be more pleasing to the eye. Gave you an "8" |

Alaskan Nightby NeilComment: Boosting the contrast would really help this scene. The mountains currently look grayish. The black in the frame would do nicely as the mountains' contrast.
The colorful sunset would really be pop out by making the mountains a bit darker. |

Cycle-of-Beautyby NeilComment: Wished that it wasn't flat looking. The colors captured are amazing, but the shot doesn't pop out that much. Needs more of a depth of field.
You may still be able to rescue this shot by using a painting filter and make it look like a painting. The different hues of colors would definitely work with a painting look. |
