Your photos are either a phase you're going through or art. I am still trying to determine which. A friend of mine who runs a book collectors shop recently showed me a very expensive book of photographs by (I forget). The photos are of the arctic and almost all are exceedingly dark - almost pure black. Only the smallest amount of detail being revealed by long scrutiny. This photographer is, apparently, famous for his work. If it had not been for that little lesson at the bookstore, I would have simply dismissed your dark photos as being rather effete.
