ET wants my dinnerby JulolidineComment by cryingdragon: Greets from the Critique Club
As far as the image goes: Yes, it's abstract; Yes, it's a macro. The color is kinda blah and it's quite blurry.
I'm guessing that you were trying to get the focus on the oil drops showing your hand, but that doesn't come across.
And it's entirely too grey for my tastes.
Keep shooting.

ET wants my dinnerby JulolidineComment by talmy: OK. It's somewhat blurred (use a tripod!) and flat. People also tend to prefer bright colors, so working in B&W here is a disadvantage. What was this like in color? |

ET wants my dinnerby JulolidineComment by posthumous: the variations in hand size and the old-timey processing make this much much better than the tiresome multi-image water drop shots that infect this shot. You show them how it's done. This picture is emotional, ominous, beautiful. 9 |

The Artists Colonyby JulolidineComment by redmoon: i love the building, and i love the overall feel of this image. my only wish is that the rocking horse wasn't in it as it's tips it into the category of being a tad too cluttered. I think the slightly discoloured aspect of the ground, the greenery and the pale slide works tremendously well. only other slight thing is that the horizon looks a bit wonky. other than that, very nice. 8. |
