Really, you just happend to be at the River Ganga this week? Sweet picture. I usually have to discharge a gun to get flying birds in my pics.
It looks like the camera focused close rather than infinity looking at the water, direct sun tends to throw off the focal point.
Also If you use a UV filter you can clean up that haze and get better color tone, just a thought.

hmm, I'm guessing the obvious that you couldn't have moved to your left to get the tree out of the way? The picture suffers quite a bit from that pine. I find pines are almost always ugly on a picture. 4
