Decorations for Ducksby john180270Comment by jbsmithana: Good idea but it seems lost in the space. Maybe zoomed in on the tree and reflection on the lake would be better? Also the photo has quite a bit of noise and lacks clear focus. With a little work in PS you might be able to salvage some of it. Keep trying and Good luck. |

Decorations for Ducksby john180270Comment by ADGibson: I really like this idea, but the picture just looks poorly taken. Maybe recompose to one side to follow the rule of thirds. Amazing visions of what this could become! You have a great eye. |

Decorations for Ducksby john180270Comment by UNCLEBRO: I like the idea very much, but the lighting is very poor.
I don't know what conditions you had to shoot under so maybe that's all that could be done? |

Decorations for Ducksby john180270Comment by nova: Good idea, but (it seems to me that) the execution of this shot stretches the limits of the camera used. I do like the color cast though. |

Decorations for Ducksby john180270Comment by docpjv: John, this is not a bad pic and i think the general idea is great. Yip, this must fit the challenge, looking at it in perspective. I do think the composition is not too strong and would have, for example, panned closer and put the tree more to the right. And then as far as post processing goes, you could have made it sharper and perhaps played with the levels to give it more color. You have great color potential here, but this pic in my opinion is a bit dull. The damning part is your tree is not at all sharp, that could also have made a big difference. As i didnt consider the challenge in this pic, nether negative nor positive, I feel comfortable to stay with my score. However, as encouragement, please go back and retake the pic if you can, not for anybody else but for you. go play with the option of zooming in a bit and placing the tree more to the right. whenever i get feedback i dont like, i go back and try the advise given. I honestly believe this pic has more potential than you realize. BEST LUCK FURTHER, bumping up to 5. |
