Had the subject been away from the center (rule of thirds), this would have worked better.
The plane was a bit too far away and the bluish hazy cast on the plane doesn't help this shot im my opinion. |

Flutter-Blyby maurice1Comment by Dr.Confuser: Neat butter fly. Contrast in the wings is dramatic. DOF appropriately blurrs the background. It looks to me like the focus is just barely off on the bug though. |

It's-PLANE-blueby maurice1Comment by dipaulk: I've been reading a lot about the rule of thirds for composition. I know you're supposed to break the rules on some occasions, but I'm wondering if moving the plane into one of the "thirds" places would improve the interest of the photo. It certainly meets the challenge, though. |
