gear and waterby colddog15Comment by ButterflySis: Nice reflection caught in the water. I would recommend using the full 640 pixels that are given for posting. It allows the viewers to see the details and will in turn score your images higher. From what I can tell this appears to have been slightly oversharpened. |

gear and waterby colddog15Comment by e301: It's quite intriguing, but the very small image size of our submission is bound to hurt you - especially from those vieing on bigger display resolutions. From the look of the vegetation, the grain of the gear, it seems heavily sharpened - though my guess wouwld be that it's actually your re-sizing process. Difficult to be more judgmental in these circumstances. |

life and deathby colddog15Comment by claudia26: I find the title too dramatic and would have liked to see more depth of field. The colour contrasts are pleasing. |

life and deathby colddog15Comment by cghubbell: Not enough depth of field to keep all of the subjects within focus here. There is also a washed out quality. Finally, those flowers representing "death" are a bit unatractive to me - they look a bit like used kleenex tissues... I knwo reality isn't always beautiful, but to get past that I'd need the central flower to stand stronger on its own as a subject. |

footby colddog15Comment by photom: You have a very interesting take on the challenge. Exposure good, focus a bit soft. But I'm not sure I "get" the significance of the destroyed picture. Pedicure is definitely overdue. |
