Strength with no controlby nickgustoComment by propaganda_penguin: I like the concept/subject matter, but the overall image might be a little too "clean" for me in specific regard to what's in it (unless you were going for more of a "this is just a bit of innocent white powder" look). I definitely think I would have liked it more on a scratched/filty mirror or piece of broken glass, slightly underexposed, grainy, not quite as zoomed in/less cropping, etc, but that's just me. The photo on a technical level looks fine to me, however, and I applaud you for even posting such a thing at all. Nice work (I gave it a 7). |

Strength with no controlby nickgustoComment by photom: Soft focus on the powder (front and back) detracts - try stopping down more if you can. Diagonal placement works well. Needs a bit more space behind the power at the top and to the left of the razor blade. |

Strength with no controlby nickgustoComment by heida: Good picture with strong messages! The colors are great the only thing that bugs me is the overexposured part in the topleft corner, other than that Very good - 9 |

Old&Rustyby nickgustoComment by CVTJan: The object is fully centered, which doesn't work for me here. With that title I also would like the see the rust. |

Old&Rustyby nickgustoComment by redmoon: The only problem with B&W is that you can't see if it's rusty... It's a bit of an unusual angle, too, but I like the snow and (ignoring the rust issue) the B&W gives an aged feel which works in this case. Personally, it's not particularly inspiring, but it fit's the challenge well. It could do with being larger though - you're given 640 pixels and really those should be used to get the extra gravitas. 5. |
