I don't like the effect applied and it is not low contrast in my view. The tones are evenly and widely distributed in the histogram, except for the real/almost black and real/almost white.

You could have cleaned up some of the dust spots in the sky and straightened the horizon to make this into a lovely winter landscape. The underexposure throughout is very distracting.
