Hmm...the dog looks more like a cat than a dog, and I have my doubts as to whether you could get this shot with a 500mm f.4 unless you're about 10 feet tall, and even then you would still barely squeeze the head in. Part of it, maybe. The effects, added or in-camera, are a little distracting and it seems that you have some odd material for floors in Russia.

Still, you got some love from the more seditious members here - cutout and posthumous like it, so it can't be all bad. Getting a Posty is a bit of a compliment so make sure you post it prominently on your user page!

Thank you for making me laugh RMP. Your take on the challenges here is always interesting and you are continuing to maintain your high standards here again. What about a suggestion as opposed to your low key approach you could try a high key alternative?

As a picture this is too dark with very little contrast and not color. For this challenge, the subject, what ever it is, is way to weak. If it weren't for that tiny spec of grey near the center, I would almost think this was just a picture of a black piece of paper. The challenge asks for the subject to be strong and stand out from the back ground. Perhaps a light or a lighted object of some sort might have really changed this photo's chances in the challenge.

So dark, I just couldn't figure out what I should look at. Definitely minimalist though.
