This shot could of challenged the best shots in the challenge with a few minor adjustments. The sky could of been more interesting, and the water up front could of used a higher aperture causing a crisp clean look. All in all, you could probably still use some simple techniques in photoshop to enhance this a little. That said, I still think you met the challenge head on, and got a great shot, so I ranked it pretty high. It would just be really hard to stand this beside the best shots in the challenge.

perfect horizontality of the sign and/or balcony would have made this a really great picture. I find it's lacking some kind of anchor.
