Their seems to be quite a few of you from the same school. Was this a school project? I wonder what the details of the project were. Only because they aren't really in the style of Natsumi Hayashi.
OK, some tips for next time, try to bounce your on-camera flash off of a wall or the ceiling, this will soften your shadows. be more aware of your background and choose one without distracting features in it. Try to use a faster shutter speed to remove any motion blur, and finally use the rule of thirds when possible.

Good luck!

There's a lot going on in this photo that take away from it. The shadowing, the person on the computer to the left, the motion blur, the lighting.
But I do think it's great you entered the challenge and attempted the style. I didn't enter, so it's better than what I did. lol

As a photographer I truly appreciate the idea of what appears to be a class doing this challenge as a project. If this is the case then please do not be discouraged by the score... which I am sure is very low. A faster shutter speed would have helped freeze the subject giving the appearance of levitation. Additionally, Natsumi generally takes photographs that seem to be more natural even though they are staged. This one seems staged and is more of an action shot then a levitation shot.

If photography is something that interests you then there is no better site to learn on than this one, so please kep submitting and learn as you go.
