Large amounts of open space, white on the left, dark towards the lower right. I think I would have preferred a little less of each, so more face would be prominent in the photo. Good color. 8 Swash

This has a good idea, but to much of the shoulder to be distracting. Perhaps cropping a little closer would balance the picture.

I like the 3D layout of the pencils, wonder how you did it. I Think thought that the idea could have been used better. The backgrould is not very nice to my taste and after viewing the picture several time I miss colors or 'tone' of colors .... looking at it again the background bothers me a lot. 5

I like the shot, but I think I, (personal opinion only), would have preferred to see a highly contrasting background. I would like to see the pencils just "jump" off the photo at me. On the other hand, perhaps this sort of monochromatic look is just what you where after, and if so, then the blonde/black works well together. lhall

Is this and UP shot or a DOWN shot, I really can't tell.....I also tried to get some floating pencils this week but gave up after 6 hours or so. Well done except for the out of focus background in the lower right corner and the flash on a few of the pencils....Just a personal opinion....not a criticism. This is very eye appealing...=7 syamjonimi ;'-D

The color, or lack of color kind of bothered me at first. However, I think that with the title (and brand of pencil) it is kind of cool. Pureness is usually reflected by white. Although this isn't white, it's close, so it does have impact. I am curious as to why the background is clear at the top and out of focus at the bottom. Not that it matters much, just curious. makes it look like it was taken at a strange angle. I also can't wait to find out how these shots were done. Great shot and good luck in the challenge.

Is this stop motion or did you suspend these somehow? If this is stop motion a more interesting background may have been more interesting. I like how all the pencils intersect another, no loners.

EXCELLENT! I'm assuming that these pencils are falling. Nice work. I think the focus is right on, as well as the lighting - the over all tone of the photo blends well together. Nice work. 8

I can't decide it that's a cieling or a floor. Nice stop motion catch. Clarity and focus. Unfortuately the texture in the cieling takes away a bit. (a bit). I can see you were looking for a blank background. Good job in general.

Very nice! Excuse my ignorance - I don't know what it is. Nice focus and color. I like that the dust/particles on the glass is visible. The cropping and angle are great too. 9
