WOW! 83 x 10's. I wonder what the record is on DPC? There should be a Top 10/Top 50 list just for well erm most 10's :)
Truly wonderful shot, I doubt much if any HDR as 5 years later in 2009 it's almost impossible not to get a landscape PP by HDR...

I cannot believe how sharp those mountains look, it really enhances the beautiful profile. The light and bright sky/mountains vs the darker foreground is wonderful. The touch of sunlight on the right front hill, the leading line of the road, the lighting as a whole and the cloud patterns finish it off: GREAT SHOT!
The only things I could think of adding is a car on the road with a dust cloud behind it or kicking some moose and get them to stand int the lower left third. :)

Great job maintaining all the detail in clouds and snow. Must help to have a great subject "handy" -- for some reason snow-capped mountains (thankfully) haven't made it onto the DPC "Do Not Post" list : )

This is a lovely image! The light is very nice and the mountains in the BG are very clear and sharp. Meets the challenge well. Just curious - did you use Neat Image on this photo?

Wow, this is truly a journey of discovery. I like it that there is a reward at the end of the vanishing point after the experience, so to speak. And that reward (the mountains) is just spectacular. It's too bad that we can't have spot editing in this challenge as there is one glaring speck of dust in the sky that could have been cloned out (or cropped). Does it distract? Maybe to sensitive viewers. Hope you do well despite of it.

I can't help but wonder if you used a long shutter speed in this photo. I like the contrast of the greenish brown landscape against the blue-ish white mountain, but the dark clouds at the top of the pic are a bit distracting.

superlative view. Technicaly the shot isn't all that for me - I think if you had waited / been there at another point during the day the light could have been more spectacular.

Having said that, the important thing is that you have seen and captured a superlative scene -for that my full makrs.

WOW !!!!! ... this is just unreal ... I know the road is the VP .. but I think the moutain over powers this image, same with the field and sky. While I would love to give this a 10 because this is a incredible photograph and my jaw dropped (I have a thing for mountains) .. I think I'm going to give an 8 b/c of the fact that VP isn't really obvious (right away I mean) ... maybe if you managed to have the road more in the middle of the photo .. sort of vanishing into the mountain .. not sure .. again WOW !

WoW! Great colors. the texture contrasts are stunning, love the great clouds against the mountain framed by the hills and the leading line off into the distance. Get the print ready on this one! There are so many good ones but too me this just stands above all the ones I've seen so far. 10!

Nicely done landscape. My only complaint it the small dot in the clouds, but since this is an open challenge w/o advance editing it's really a non issue. 8

Magnificent shot. I've been stuck looking at this image for a while now. It's making me very angry. I've been to Alaska twice now but have never made it to Denali. Right now I'm cursing myself for not spending the money. I predict a ribbon for this one. 10
