Not enough contrast. If left 25% were cropped out it would have more focus

Great duotone. Caption makes it.

I don't know if the sepia tone works very well for this picture. It's pretty in-your-face and almost detracts from the picture. Very clear and sharp, though. muckpond.

Like it! Can imagine immediately the whole story behind it and how it moves a whole city!

this is so flat and I can't even tell what mess you are speaking of.

I think BW is appropriate here, but I don't understand what the mess is about. I suspect a strip mine or something, but I could be wrong. 6 nards656

I like the sepia toning here, but the colours look a little washed out. Also I think that a couple of inches cropped off the top would help.

There, no doubt is a story here. The sepia tone, however, to me, evokes a more nostalgic feeling. It's possible b & w or color would give the image more impact to illustrate the story the title suggests.

I think maybe this would work better in color. Every thing is just too much the same shade with the sepia tone.

Like the tone, but what am I looking at? Is this a mine shaft?

Good approach to show the enormity of the problem. Can decide if I like the lack of color, but will yield to your judgement.

The color doesn't work for me here. Would have been better in color. Nice focus and good crop. Decent execution. PTL8

Good clearity and DOF. Slight smudge on the right in the sky, but a good shot overall.

Compostions seems to be a little average. Perhaps more lighting adjustments or more shadowing.
