 done for may overlay side challenge

i took a pic of me on the lounge in my daggy old trackies and pink slippers today .. i've got a cold and that's my excuse ..
this is the original ..


used two jaiel textures .. wall & cream wall in overlay blending mode .. you can find jaiel in flickr ..

i used another pic of stained glass window i took in a church as an overlay coz i felt it was appropriate ..


i was reading a book called embraced by the light by betty j. eadie .. i'd read it a week ago, but was reading it again today .. it had such an impact on me .. its betty eadie's story of her experience when she dies .. it's more about life than death tho ..

here we are in our day to day lives mostly unaware of the big picture ..
that we are spiritual beings and our time here is only part of the story ..
that we are watched over and guided by angels (or wotever you want to call them .. )

& i'm not religious in the 'accepted' sense, but i do believe in prayer and do believe in god and i do believe that being here is so important .. that we are here to love one another and be kind .. its our choice .. :)

WOW - talk about symbolism. The spiritual aspect of your beliefs coincide with mine. Something very comforting, knowing there are things greater than ourselves watching out for us.

Fantastic image Roz. I love the quality of light you've gotten into it. I do hope that you are not THAT sick though. All the best for a speedy recovery. That book sounds interesting.
