 First let me say this shot is not meant to express any personal opinion or make any religious or political statement, it is simply to document the event.

That being said, I don't expect this to score particularly well because of the strong opinions on both sides of the debate, but I hope voters can put that aside and judge the photo on it's merits alone, which if it scores badly from, I have no problem with!

Taken in Sydney CBD from across George Street, had to crop down to a small portion in the middle of the frame to get a good looking result.

Curves, brightness / contrast, custom B&W, USM and resize. Some burning on the observer to keep focus on the main subject and vignetting applied.

Fantastic and underrated IMO... I love the juxtaposition of the very flamboyant protester and the passive "passer byer"...

Fantastic reportage shot. Captured a great moment.

As a side note, there is a large amount of irony here as the protesters who picket the Scientologists and who wear the V masks organise under the collective name of Anonymous, so to have this shot in a Personality challenge is pretty ironic!

Nicely done, I've seen these protesters walking the streets of Seattle a couple of times and have never quite been able to compose a shot as well as this.

Seems that all personalities are hidden by masks of some sort. I love the way this is cropped/composed. Quite bizarre, but very interesting. Gotta love it in b/w. Only thing that would make this perfect is a bit of blur :)
