A random sapling (Mimosa) that I found growing in my yard. It's an invasive non-native plant so I'll probably need to get rid of it before it gets much bigger, but meanstwhile I am enjoying the lovely colors of the emerging leaf fronds when the sun hits them just right. Not expecting much of a score (though anything above a 5 would be nice right about now), but this is my favorite shot from this month. The light; it's always about the light!

PP - cropped, cloned out a leaf from another branch on the bottom, increased saturation and contrast, added border, resized, sharpened.

Beautiful colors, Mary. I like the black contrasting, too. Well done.

Certainly an interesting plant, and th eleaf looks good against the black. The composition is ight for the image, although I might prefer less drop off in focus.
