This is a Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon on display at Farnborough Air Show.

Shot @ 400mm

Cropped, highlights / shadows, levels, curves, increase saturation of Orange slightly, noise ninja, resize, usm, sfw

This is my favourite of the possibles but I wish the aircraft was just a tad sharper

Very underrated , this is an excellent shot. Crop a little too square.

Cool shot. I'm not crazy about the square crop in this photo since it weakens leading lines and the sense of movement, which this subject could use more of not less.

As for the low votes I would just forget those. If you notice the ribbon winners all filled most of the frame with the challenge theme and little else was included. It's called hitting the voter over the head. If they can only see "hot" AND little else is there to distract their minds then they can't possibly screw up interpreting your photo. You failed to do that here. It's good that you didn't (you're a better overall photographer for that) but bad for your score. I'm sure in your case some voters felt you tried to shoehorn the entry with that clever title. Nevermind that you also included actual fire in the shot but since it doesn't fill 99% of the image area it probably was lost on some. There's also the 'vehicle of destruction' aspect and some probably was offended by your audacity to photograph it. Whatever the reasons I doubt you'll want to alter your approach based on them.
