Challenge: Sun in Frame (Basic Editing)
Camera: Olympus E-10
Location: My side yard; Angola, New York

 I shot this with the Olympus E-10 because I never use it and I wanted to become familiar with how to work the settings. I was in the side yard around 7:45 as the sun was going down and tried to frame the sun in the trees.
I have no idea how this will score, but if it scores well (5+) I might get my average pushed into 5 range! ...YAY!

The silhouette leaves create quite an impression of kaleidoscopic or geometric fractals of shapes and figures! I love the star rays of the sun with the frame of the trees! I'm disappointed not to see this one score higher and feel the voters really underrated this photo.

Ohh but I woke up thinking about this picture this morning so it left an impression. I love the rays and flares on the sun and I do like these really busy, almost abstract shots. They don't tend to score well (at least mine don't) and I think it's because they look great in full size and would probably be great printed at about A4 or larger but compressed down to the itty bitty size here they get too confusing. But I think it's nice.

The patterns of the lines lead the eye across the picture but the rays of the sun really put emphasis on it.
