NZ weta (kinda creepy cos they're big, have long feelers and can bite) overlayed with all bark, sludge and stone layers.

Think I got a bit carried away with the layers this time ...... overwhelmed the subject just a tad!

Great rich tones. Oddly, the colors give it a slightly creepy feel with the insect subject. Those barbs on his legs against the blood red are what make it so effective I think.

I love the colours and I don't think you've overwhelmed the bug at all, you have given him quite a regal air that seems somehow appropriate for such a handsome bug.

What richness in those colors! And the overlay has enhanced the image with so much more depth. Nice work. :)

Oh gawd - a bug. Roz will tell you I have a hard time looking at them in nature - let alone in the giant version on my screen. I only saw this briefly - but it's really cool (layer-wise). Beautiful colors and depth.

Reminds me of a time my husband found a weta under the bonnet of the car I've never seen a man jump so high! I like the strong colouring in this, insects seem to be a perfect topic for overlays they dont mind being grunged up at all!

This is SO amazing - I am astonished by how 3D the insect is. I think the colours are bold and wonderful.
