The expression is priceless, too bad his shirt is not covering his arm, as the contrast is a bit distracting there.

I think there is a bit too much contrast or at least the main focal lighting is on the wrong section (sleeve). However the expression is terrific. I also like how your burned out the distracting background. The textures of the boy's shirt really work well.A splendid shot overall.

Yeh the sleve of his shirt was brighter than I wanted but I could not darken it anymore or I would have lost detail from his face and the rest of his shirt - sort of compromise.

I gave this a 5. I generally do not like portraits and it has to be something really special for me to vote higher. Wish his head did not fade into the background and the light on his arm seems too bright.
