So I know this has two hits against it - 1) it's a kid shot and 2) it's high key. Well, "who cares?" I say. I like the shot so I'm entering it come what may! I love high key images and I love my kiddos.
I also am loving our new Strobist light kit with our 420EX flash. Finally, nice lighting at our figertips! This is my first shot taken with it and I'm sold! This shot was so sharp straight from camera that it didn't matter how much I zoomed in on her eyes in photoshop, they were still clean as a whistle! Groovy catch lights too IMO.
Shot in RAW. RAW conversions. Light Room using many of the sliders. Elements - USM, NI, crop, selective color, dodge, burn, blur, minor cloning, brightness/contrast, sat/desat, border, save for web. |

| I LOVE this! And I'm horribly envious about the whole light deal - really does give exceptional catchlights, doesn't it? And the high key is very well done. She certainly has the most extraordinary eyes. |

| Ohhhh Mannnn - This should melt a Troll's heart. ...but probably won't. :/ Well it jumped out at me and screamed for at least a nine. Then I looked at that expression again and had to bump it to a 10. My first one so far after 66 votes. Best of luck! I would love to see this on the front page. |
