A shot from my first wedding gig. I think I got some good ones - yippeee! I hope this fits the challenge topic well enough. I've had little time to shoot anything else.

This is actually the groom, but I thought the idea of a "best man" fit the challenge better... ;-)

PP included very little: NI, conversion to B/W, levels, sharpen, save for Web.

A classic portrait, the b&w is an appropriate choice.

Very good shot.
Very crisp, clear, sharp, technically very accomplished.
One very small nitpick is to perhaps position him a little further left, so the curtain doesn't cut into him.

I would question the cropping.

I guess a best man is good...but if I just look at the picture, it tells me nothing. It's just a distinguished gentleman wearing a pinstripe suit and a badass tie with a boutonniere on his lapel.

Hmmm... too much headroom, in my opinion.

This is nice, a tighter crop would have made it better though, imho. 7

You'll get this a lot on this shot...a tighter crop would have worked better. Otherwise...you've captured his expression well, and the slightly OOF background pulls the subject out nicely.
