As I am diabetic this view of a celebration of life is brought on by medical science.

great shot. My 5 year old has been a type 1 diabetic for a few years now so I love to see images like this. It shouldnt be so taboo. great job.

Thank you for great comments. I was not sure how well it would place but I am happy with the end result. This was only my second time working with lighting and trying to get a well controlled outcome. I am not that creative a person so I most likely will not score well untill I can develop some sort of creative style. My main point with this was to work from a technical aspect and create an image with some positive things such as lighting and working with DOF to create a focal point.

It looks like a 'clinical' image. The title is needed, though, to understand the purpose of the medication 'portrayed'. Motiv, subdued colours, the cool plain background, and composition indicate a life depending on medicine, a life we don't like. But still, this is life too. And those in need of 'Humalog' have no choice, it is their life-support.
Composition: Subjcet off-centre, simple, clear lines, one vertical on the LH side, one diagonal from RH side to lower LH corner. Good DOF with end of the syringe, i.e. instrument/action, blurred. Very thoughtfully created composition.

A nice twist on the theme...

Recovering some of the texture in the very most foreground white cap might enhance.

great image...I like the dof and the composition...sadly, it's a statement about one of the western world's epidemic deiseases

well done 8

Not really a "celebration of life" IMO.

I almost feel the needle stick :)

refreshingly different. Maybe it will be too out of the box for the voters.

Excellent technicals, a very good stock type of photo.

Certainly a very clear, well focused shot with nice DOF. I'm wishing there was something more in the photo, though.

very interesting...nice point of view. It stimulates a lot of though. It also has a nice depth of field and diagonal line. 10

Very clean, well lit product shot. Focus and depth of field is good but there isn't much 'dramatic' about this to score it highly. Competently done.
