I gave you an 8 on DA and a 9 here; in fact, I thought to myself "oh, man, why do I have to compete against this shot in both places!" :) Now I can add it to my faves here.
Maybe it's just that I've seen lakes that color in the Cascades and elsewhere, so I didn't mark down for it. Silt does amazing things to lake color!

| Canadian Rockies? If so, I have been there. Great blues. The sky could stand a little noise reduction, but otherwise very nice. |

| I like the sweep of the mountains and the interesting textures seen on the rock face in this landscape photo. The inclusion of the foreground ground plane detracts from the appeal of the image because your main focus should remain locked tightly on the beauty of the lake and the mountains in the background. The other element that is a detraction from the visual appeal is the color of the lake itself. It appears unnatural in it's settings. The color is close to that of turquoise/bright aquamarine - not a normal lake color especially since the water would most likely reflect that of the color of the sky if anything. Here it is a flat color that shows no reflection of it's surroundings. |

Awesome. I went to this lake in the winter. This is in the Canadian Rockies, right? I also saw Lake Louise and I went to Banff. It's an awesome area.

What an amazing view and such a clear day to capture it.
My eyes are having a lot of trouble with the color of the sky and the color of the water being so very different.
I bet this would look absolutely stunning in black & white! |

| I am sure you have gotten comments on the lake not looking like a natural color and I would agree with them. very pretty scene and looks like a wonderfull place to shoot |

Like: sky, background mountain, rock detail -- basically top half of pic
don't like: lake, foreground rock platuea, and bush at right is distracting.

| I love everything about this but the color of the water. its seems very unnatural to me. if it more closely mirrored the color of the sky it would be a 10. as is an 8. good luck in the challenge. |

| I don't know what the terrain was like right around you as you took this shot, but I feel like I want to get closer to the edge so that it is not in the image. Nice shot on the whole though. |
