Pretty cool shot. I like the contrast not only between the dark metal bars and shadows against the bright sky, but also the contrast in the hard, drigid lines of the metal, against the warbly wobbly lines from the shadows. This might have been a good entry for "Lines II" as well.

I think there's a good chance someone might find the seagull distracting, but I don't. I think it adds a little life to the photo (not that it needs it, the play with lines/shadows creates life as is). The seagull adds a little for me, but it also detracted from the focus score. If the seagull were a little sharper I would have given a perfect score for focus.

Just as a note, if I didn't use my score table, I probably would have rated this a 9 or a 10. So my initial reaction is that it's perfect.

The bird adds a nice touch. I think I'd crop off the bottom more though.

I like the strong lines, the warmth of the colour cast and of course that bird. If you had cropped out the shadows at the bottom it would have made it a 'Wow 10' image for me;)

Great energy. The bird orients the image. Nice control of the sky. Easy to blow out that exposure and lose foreground detail. Nicely done.
