 Stuck different stones together with rubber cement. Placed them on a black tshirt background ;-)

Used a small light with a tissue over it to make it soft. Exposure was 4 seconds. Did not move the light at all during the exposure.

Editing in PS CS2 :

-Rotate 90* CCW
-Duplicate layer
-Shadow/Highlight Tweaking
-Curves Adjustment, including setting the black and white points
-Blend Mode set to Hue
-Merge visible layers as a new layer
-Levels
-Crop
-Resize
-USM 20,74.1,0
-Cloning to remove minor distractions at the base
-Save as JPEG

This would certainly fit that Zen thread that was going on a little bit ago. Good use of light, fits the challenge to a tee. Actually reminds of some of the nudes in the challenge with the high contrast and smooth curves with a strong vertical format. Great job. 8

I like the composition as the stones form a nice gentle curve the way they are stacked. I would have liked to see a bit more texture though - maybe an adjustment in curves and a bit stronger USM would help out.

Nice effect. Couldn't figure out how you got them to stack up like that at first. Good composition and quality of light.

I just wish the it has warmer tone and was taken from distance. Still a nice picture.6.
