 This is a set up shot, done in my basement studio. Did you know how hard it is to find a yellow Beta? I created the "fishbowl goblet" from several glass pieces that I painted and glued together. I used backlighting behind white paper and then placed yellow tissue paper over it to get the yellow glow in the fish. The fish is actually a creamy white. The lower glass has a light inside to add to the glow effect.

This is the first entry into the WPL for me as part of Team Nikon. I hope to do them proud.

I love this! Betta Splendens is my favourite kind of fish, once I had a couple and after they died, I gave up having aquarium.

8 - Nice betta shot. Good yellow shot. Perhaps the slightest nudge rotation make this even better in my opinion. Not sure on the frame. Nice use of backlighting to show off the tail and fins.

You'd think this much yellow would kill contrast and make everything blur together, but the dark base very effectively makes it all work well. Very nice. :)
