Ah, either an american garden toad or a canadian carpenter toad.. They dont bite, give warts, or foam out poison..

Im surprised I dont see more pics like this on this site.. Its an okay shot, but I think it couldve been rated higher if it wasnt such a closeup, her hair was under control, and the toad was sitting in her hand (but I dont blame her for not wanting to touch it! They urinate when disturbed) I would have atleast had the toad come at a lower angle with his forelegs resting on something. A boulder, perhaps? Still, VERY clever idea! =)

The model is the one who made the sacrifice for challenge (and art) here- she's to be congratulated. Nice final product, I might've tried to remove some of those wayward hairs off of her face. I'm rating this high.

I really like the idea behind this. I wish a little bit more care would have been taken on keeping the stray hairs under control. I find them to be a bit of a drawback. JMO

nice and crisp focus and good clever idea...the loose strands of hair over her face could have been removed before the shot was taken

Funny! the curtain of hair works as a lovely backdrop for the toad. The earings are a very nice touch - fanciful - and help definr the line of her jaw and almost draw your eyes more to her puckering lips. Wish the toad was coming out of the bottom left corner more and not floating into the fram from the left - looks a little zero-G. The light is lovely and golden (beautiful hair!) very fairy-tale romance.
