Yes, I know it wont score well. But this was my creative lighting from last night. I got a bit bored with the direction of my flash, so removed it from my camera. I would hold the flash in my left hand and press the modeling light button...swiping the flash across the dance floor while pressing the shutter of my camera with my other hand. Think i was shooting at 1/8 or 1/15. I guess I need to learn about Nikon's creative lighting system now...yes...time to finally read a manual! :)

The lighting in this venue was cavernous.

wow it's brilliant. Admire how you manage to keep her face rather sharp while the motion blur add's life to it.

I love this picture. I don't know if you've had time to read the manuel but it is alot of fun.

I can't believe this scored so low! I gave it a 7!

interesting ... like the distortion and the focus on the brides face ... looks like the photographer had a bit too much to drink ;-)

I'm gonna guess this isn't scoring well, but I think its a really good shot. The lighting is an important element in this shot because it provides the contrast that sets this apart from an ordinary wedding type shot. The focus on the bride is excellent, and the fisheye look makes the shot more dynamic. I would have cropped out the flash reflection on the left though. I don't think its necessary in order the meet the challenge, but feel it detracts attention from the bride. Keep taking these kind of shots though, this definitely tells a story and does so in an artistic fashion.

Great image. Strange and full of life and action. I see the light by the side but not sure light is playing the mainrole (above every other photograph).

This a a little blurred. It would have looked better if you could have used a faster shutter speed.

Drunk and at a wedding were you??? lol Perhaps if it was shot with a tripod so it wasn't so OoF would have made for a better shot. To me this says I needed a entry for this challenge and not something you intended to shoot for this challenge. Good luck in this challenge.

Great moment, but I would not say that the lighting is what makes this picture. Sure the flash froze the moment, but it is not a defining feature in this pic, the brides facial expression and the movement make this shot what it is. So A+ for catching this moment, but as far as the challenge is concerned, I don't think it is a good fit.

Great effect in both lighting and perspective. Nice to see a more creative shot. The facial expressions are priceless, excellent capture.

Great job controlling the light and focus to bring attention directly onto the bride. Very nicely done.
