This is way after the challenge and you may not care to hear my thoughts, but I will offer. I gave this shot a 4. I really liked the idea of the shallow depth of field, but it just doesn't work in this shot. It seems like the DOF is on the fence here. If it were tighter or longer, it would work better. Think of an Oreo commercial, would they have this many crumbs around or flakes on the creamy cookie center? It just seems too contrived of a shot. It seems like it was set up without motive and done just because you got the good angle on the separatated Oreos. (But I know that's not true.) That being said, I really like the idea of the shot. I think that the lighting is pretty good (which probably is the most important part) but it just didn't jive with me. Not that my photos are better, but I wanted to try to help out.

mmm Oreos :) Good idea, well shot and clarity is nice.
I'm not that crazy about the composition... perhaps a different arrangement of the cookies in the background would have improved this shot.

This is a great idea, I like the composition and the cookies. Only small complaint I have is with the background color, for some reason the yellow (gold?) isn't working for me but I can't really think of something that would work better right now, maybe a red?

I like the idea, classic, but i'mnot sure about the choice of color for the backround. Unappatizing, does jive w/cookies

Yup its separated.... fairly well executed. I feel that this could have used less shadows and a little more detail. As for the subject it's a little bland IMO. Perhaps if this had been shot on a different color back groung it might have been more astheticly pleasing.. as is seems pretty average.

Good idea for the challenge, but the color is off to me. I don't care for the yellow background either.
