It's an eye-catching shot. I love the bright red bird and the dark background. Who cares if the flamingo should be pink?

Is it possible that the edges were dodged to create that background? And that the dodging went right to the edge of the feathers? If not, what explains that glowing effect at most of the edges of the bird? In my eyes it takes a good point off the score of the shot.

Still, what you captured with the camera is super.

This was excellent.. I know my lame gerbera should not have scored above it! (I gave you an 8 for this (which is very high from me!))

Great photo.

Superb example of quality lighting!
Image compression hurts this a little and easily overlooked in my eyes. (9)

Well.... it was fairly obvious that we would see some flamingos... this shot IMO stands out above the other entries. Great photo on it's own, as part of a 'pink' challenge top 3! great work, good luck

Very elegant and stunning. That black background really lets the viewer focus on the beautiful pose and lighting. Great shot!

I think this is the best photo in the competition so far. I hope it's gonna be one of the winning photo's. Very beautiful, I saved it on my harddisk and e-mailed it to my mother, who loves flamingos.

Beautiful! (9)
I really love Flamingos, and I think this is one of the best I've seen!
Great color, fits the challenge perfectly. Nice details, althought the focus is a bit soft. It's also a bit grainy. I'm guessing this photo was taken from a far.
But still, a wonderful photo of one of the most amazing birds IMO.

This is a lovely shot and the color is gorgeous, but the dominant color is orange/red. It just doesn't make me think "pink".

Oh, that's really pretty. I love all the shades evident in the feathers when they are fluffed out like that!

Saturation seems a little overdone, but otherwise it's really good.

This is an absolutely beautiful image of an extremely red-orange flamingo. It just doesn't say pink to me, but I'm scoring it above average so I'm doing you no damage.

Meets the challenge (4), technically good (2), good composition (2), wow factor (0). That works out to 8.

I probably wouldn't have made it so red or cropped off the bottom of the flamingo, otherwise it is different to the typical bird shot.

Stunning 10. I really hope you ribbon with this, good luck!
