 From my visit to the Bear himself WAY WAY back in 2006!

Yes, this is Bear. I went to visit him in 2006, just before I moved to Germany. It was an expensive visit. First thing he told me was "your tripod is a POS!" It was. It was ancient, and from K-Mart, so he took me to his dealer and I still have that heavy ol' Manfrotto with sand in the legs. :-) It also cost me a wide angle lens, but oh how glad I am to have discovered the joys of wide angles!

Hah! Melethia visiting me on Cape Cod circa 2005, 2006? You were close to the first DPCer to come to the Cape, if not the very first. I cost you a lot of money, didn't I, what with tripods and ultra-wides and lawd knows what else. And here we are, all those years later :-)
