 Crazy! There were 10 loons in a group! When I first saw them in the distance I thought it was a flock of ducks. Once I realized it was loons I got pretty excited. It's always fun to see 1 or 2, but 10?! I noticed they were heading my way. I was in a kayak and positioned myself where I would be lined up for some strong light and mist when they swam through. Most of the water was in shadow except for this one location. Must have spent 20 minutes all together watching them. What a great morning! :-) ... and then I caught up with the others and did some fishing for the next few hours. :-D
