Dear all,
First of all, I would like to say thanks to those who voted for me for the 'illusion" challenge 2 weeks ago. I was honestly surprised by the score I received, and never imagined the photo could make it to the top 50 //www.dpchallenge.com/image.asp?IMAGE_ID=7538

In any case, I decided to reshoot "The 10th Planet", and manipulate the image to attain some realism. Here it is: //www.pbase.com/image/7287519

It would be nice to receive some critiques from fellow DPChallengers.

Cheers,
Derek

I love it! The sunbursts and the stars really make the image something special.

It still looks like a watermelon though!!

Your accidental peacock shot is wonderful too, you really were in the right place at the right time!

Tim

Thanks Tim.

It is strange how so many people see it as a watermelon. Maybe I should shoot a watermelon in IR next time to see what I can come up with.

By the way, I just commented a few remarks for you on PhSIG.

Regards,
Derek

The lens flare was done in PhotoBrush. It had a brush tool which you can simply add that. The comet on the right is also something similar like the "flare" effect. I simply "warped" it, to give it a comet-like shape.
