SLC (Utah) Area GTG - Let's beat the heat!

I�m still fairly new to this whole thing. I registered back in May of 2007, but have only recently been able to do much on here and put any pictures up (life gets a little crazy at times). I�m sure most of you have more experience, but I�d be interested in coming along as well. I�ve never been out to the Salt Flats. I�m up for car pooling, whether it�s riding along or driving and splitting the cost (as long as I have someone to give me some directions). I�m in Magna. I�ve got a Pathfinder that will fit an additional four and gear.

So, have we decided on a meeting place for everyone to gather at before we head for the salt flats?

And BM, where ever we meet will probably not be too far from Magna. So maybe we can just set up a carpool from there?

Ok, so this is what we have so far:

1. PARKING. We need a place to meet to carpool. There is a large parking lot at State Street and 400 South, does anyone know if it's free on Saturdays? The last couple of times that I've been there, it was open.

2. MODELS.

skylercall's sister will help. David, how do we go about getting a few more?

3. PROPS.

WCpilot has some, please bring them. If others have more stuff, please feel free to bring them as well.

4. TIME. I think that we are leaving at 3:00pm, correct?

Okay, I'm bailing on the car pooling idea!

I've talked my daughter into coming and bringing her fancy blue car with her, so I'll ride with her. :)

Also, since she just got married in June, I've talked her into bringing her wedding dress and maybe one or two other changes of clothes (I'll also bring a portable changing booth).

Hey I just saw this and was wondering if there is any room for me to come. I would absolutely love to go. I've never done a G2G because they are all so far away, but I'm from Utah. I live down in Provo, so if there is anyone who wants to go up to SLC together we could try to work that out. I might be able to get my little sister to model if people are interested. She is in some of my pictures. She is a ballroom dancer and I was thinking it would maybe be neat to have her and one of her partners come up for some pictures. Let me know if I should look into that.

I just discovered (this past week) that I have a conflict on the 27th. I'm still trying to work out an arrangement so I can attend.

Great! I am excited to go. I talked to my sister and she said she would love to come and model for us and she will talk to her ballroom partner, but she's pretty sure he will be willing to come as well. My dad might join us, he loves photography too.

battymaddie you are welcome to ride with me, Alecia and Antonio. We are meeting at the Kohl's off of the 123rd exit in Draper at 2:15 - 2:30. We should have room for you and your sister if she would like to attend as well.

I was wondering the same thing ... do we meet up somewhere central to everyone or just head out?

The trouble with 400 South State is that would be driving backwards for Becky ... it'd be quicker for her to just head west. Perhaps someplace like the parking lot at Salt Air Resort would be better? At least it would be "along the way" for everyone involved?
