I need to get some good 11x14 prints done by Saturday. Does anyone know a fairly cheap online site that would turn around that quickly?

I got prints from my usual place but they are terrible! Thanks for any ideas.

I've done 8x10's there and they look pretty darn good.

Added: Check for 1 in your area...you can upload today and pick them up tomorrow.

They even do custom sizes in an hour, and they also offer square crops!

We do have a Ritz in the area, but I don't see anyplace online where you upload the pics?

www.ritzpics.com

That's what I'd use if I were in a hurry. No sense paying for overnight shipping when the local Ritz Camera is just a short drive away.

gotcha...I found that link right after I said I couldn't find one :)

I hate links like that though....I have to register, download their program and upload pics all before I can even see what they have to offer. I'll just wait and call the store tomorrow.

Some of the Ritz and Wolf camera now offer a "photo bar" where you can print your own photos there...large, custom, specialty...might be worth calling and asking.

I also hesitate to print out all three 11x14's I need until I get one run through - since they turned out so awful from one place. I don't THINK it's my files, but I understand that it could be.

The place I sent them to is someplace I've ordered from many times using the same settings on the same monitor etc - and all three prints have the same issues. I just don't want to waste more money until I know I'll get what I want.

Thank you all for your help! :)

One time Ritz did a 16x20 for me. When I looked at it, the color just wasn't right. They printed it two more times, adjusting the image while I waited, all at their expense.

Not sure if they are all like that, but I really appreciated it.

If you have a Costco membership/nearby store, you can upload/order online and pick up in 1-4 hours, up to a 12x18 print ($2.99).

Never done large prints just 4x6's with them but they are very friendly!

My friend also swears by COSTCO.

CostCo printers also have color profiles that are kept up to date. They are available from Dry Creek Photo.

I started using Costco from GeneraIE's suggestion a while back. I usually use them when I'm just printing a bunch of 4x6's (my "big stuff" I use Mpix or Bayphoto), but I've had to print a few 8x10's and 12x18's the same day and they came out great! They print on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper, and you can put custom text (copywright info or whatever) on the back of each print.

My local Sams club does excellent 11x14 prints and they are cheap. I assume Walmart probably has the same capability.

For quicky stuff, I usually go to Costco (same as Sams Club), just for maximum profit and stuff tends to look reallly good. Ritz I find to be too expensive, but they do offer more options.

Wow, that'd make the membership almost worth it just for that alone. Did they do a good job for you?

ya costco is really good. i've talked to a lot of wedding photographers and family portrait photographers that use costco.

they have a "glossy" or "lustre" option. as well as a variety of different borders (white torn, white thin, and black thin). you can have your name/business/copyright info printed on the back for no charge... and they have the prints ready in an hour. and these are all the prices that i just copied and pasted from their online photo center.

4x6 prints 0.17 ea
5x7 prints 0.39 ea
8x10 prints 1.49 ea
8x12 prints 1.49 ea
Wallet set 0.39 ea
11x14 prints $2.99 ea
12x18 prints $2.99 ea
16x20 prints $9.99 ea
20x30 prints $9.99 ea

ritz is 3-4 times more expensive and in my experience they are much slower

I would suggest MPIX. I have ordered from costco and the colors didn't have the same richness or vibrancy compared to mpix. Last week i ordered 5 16x20's early in the morning and the next day they arrived from mpix.
