Hi,
I am looking for online sites which provide this facility. I can upload print-files and be able to put price on the prints. They should provide for the shopping cart and all other business stuff and credit the sales amount to my account.
Sounds similar to dpcprints ? Yes, but I may need a lot of space.
Which sites have you used and any feedback is much appreciated.

thanks,
Gaurawa

Smugmug. See my signature line. You set the price and the rest is done through them. Smugmug has UNLIMITED space and tons of bandwidth. Password protects, watermarks and lots of other features as well. Great customer service and always making improvements to the site. Love it. The referral program is a huge plus, too!

$100 in a year I think you can pull it off. I have seen your portfolio and besides you can drive more traffic to your own site and market in etter ways.

Photoreflect has no fees except per order, unlimited storage and time, and password protection for clients who want it. You choose the lab (ezprints, who dpc uses, is on there, but the best is All American Photo).

they don't seem to allow the user to adjust crop. I tried adding to cart a picture in 4x6 and 8x10 sizes and I wasn't asked to adjust crop. Is that the case ?

The photographer crops when the order is placed. That way I have final control over what leaves my studio.

I think $100 is very reasonable as well. Think of what it would cost you if you purchased your own domain name and host...and then the time and/or money of designing an e-commerce site. Smugmug is all ready to go, you just upload the images and they're ready to be sold. Very easy.

I will vouch for smugmug too. I used to run my own site...programmed my own photo album in php and everything but in the end I switched to smugmug cuz 1) it was cheaper 2) it allowed me to directly sell prints. I used to pay 12.00/month (144/year vs 100/year) for web hosting and I think I got 2GB of space. Smugmug gives you unlimited space. The only gripe I have with smugmug is the quality of their resized photos. Sometimes you can see some artifacts that you wouldn't normally see for a photo that you resized here at DPC (filesize is bigger here). But in the end, I think it's worth it.

I checked out smugmug, but I can't make a purchase. (I was just trying it out). How would someone purchase your stuff through there?
