I've just seen some of his aftermath shots from iraq - including possibly the best photo I've ever seen. These are from Afghanistan - multi-award-winning stuff, but if anyone doesn't know of Simon Norfolk they should check them out now.

Shot I believe with a box camera - you know, wood and brass thing, black velvet cover over your head.

The Iraq pics were published Saturday in the UK Guardian newspaper, couldn't find them on-line anywhere yet: they're even better.

Thanks for the link. The photography is breath taking. The balloon seller is my favorite. Like already said very surreal.

Hi. I just thought I would post a link to my own photos of Afghanistan since I read this post. Mine are all low res since it's not a photography-oriented webpage but if you're interested in seeing photographs from that area there's a little photo album section.

Still looking for the others: the best i can find is that there is likely to be a book published later this year.
