It's tolerable that you don't make any consideration of the effort the artist went to, but you are really going out of your way here to be mean. Unless you are the artist's mother, I don't think it is your role to 'teach' by nastiness in the way that you've worded this reply. Nasty criticism like this would certainly deter me from putting up my photo for comment.

i appreciate her bluntness, far too often we coddle each other with glowing comments afraid to devastate the artist. IMO that helps nobody, if you think your work is great and everyone tells you its great and in reality it sucks you don't improve. this place is the honest, people aren't afraid to ruffle each others feathers. Its why lots of us keep coming back, its refreshing change from the +1s and likes and wow, beautiful comments of the other places.

even those some of us don't like each other and we get into tiffs, ultimately we are willing to help each other out, its one of the greatest things about DPC. there are lost of dicks and a-holes and brash folks here but I love every single one of them because we all share something in common and care passionately for it.

no matter how hard people try to take a good photographs sometimes it just bombs, Margret makes some truly great images, i'm a fan of her work, but this one inst very good, she knows it and was requesting feedback, when you do that you better have thick skin because you will often get some unpleasing responses.

judging by her response she was happy to have gotten it.

I don't share your views, Mike. I don't grow from impolite comments, I don't ask for and don't want any more "constructive" critique. This was the very last one. Thank you.

I appreciated most of the responses (especially one! :) but hated the impolite ones :( Unfortunately the impolite tipped the balance for me. I don't want any of this any more. I'd rather grow elsewhere.
