blurry, grainy, as if taken with little to no effort or interest

thanks a lot for your suggestion. I'm just a rookie and any advise is more then welcome. The photo was shot with an iphone4, but the next one will be with my nikon d50. thanks again.

I wish the right in the bottom left wasn't so glaringly bright as I don't think it should be the focus. I think I would have cropped it out. Otherwise I like this shot.
