Water on the leaves is naturally occuring. I did not wade out and add it to the leaves. These particular leaves have apparently fallen from a tree somewhere and are now floating on the surface of the pond in Wiesbaden. I'm hoping the fact the leaves have at some point fallen from the tree will meet the challenge.

Predicition - will not beat my average. I do have a couple of outtakes that I like better, but this one is the most colorful of the three.

Post challenge - heh, did beat my average, whatdya know? Was above 6 most of the week, fell below on Saturday. Kind vote scrubber. And note that the average from non-participants is actually lower on this than from participants.

I like this - the two leaves intimately connected, banding together in the face of the wide open world. I do though, feel that the water surface seems a little flat (yes, I know water surfaces generally are flat...), sort of like there is just a very thin film of water on a smooth black surface - hard to articulate, perhaps I should leave it as something doesn't quite connect with me in regards to the water surface. Ah, now then, I have just tilted my (work) screen towards me and see that there is more detail there than I thought... much better!

edit: Just seen this is yours Deb. I really, really like the outtake!

Very pretty, Deb. I like the detail of the lake bottom up top and the color in the leaves.

I liked this during voting. I was wondering where on earth is it autumn? Love the colour of the leaves. I would flip it horizontally.

Funny how we feel we have to tell others that we didn't add the drops. I did the same on this shot I took last week for the Flowers side challenge. [thumb]708547[/thumb]

H...

for heh...

I love how it looks like the leaves are barely kissing the water, hardly breaking the surface. I love how the golden color really stands apart from the background. Heh - congrats on beating your average!

A bit too much blank space at the top...

Lovely colours. I like the portrait orientation and the use of the surface of the water as negative space.
