 I love baseball. I mean, I LOVE baseball.
Every spring I relish being able to watch games on TV, in person, or listen to them on the radio. It reminds me of summer. The games don't have to be my team (the Chicago White Sox), any games will do.

Shot in RAW, adjusted curves/ levels in Nikon Capture NX. Save as JPEG.

Opened image in Elements 3.0. Adjusted hue/saturation - mainly reds and yellows, cropped to square, noise ninja, save for web. Opened image and USM at small radius.

I hope this entry does okay, hopefully on the sunny side of 6. But I guess it is rather mundane and will likely in the mid 5s

I am very happy this did well - and better than I anticipated. I am so thrilled with all the positive comments about the feel, touch, and smell of baseball - great stuff - THANKS!

One of these landed at my feet last night when I was out running (the baseball field is just across the road from where I was). I'm just thankful that it didn't hit me in the face (or worse ;-) What I actually meant to write is that I really, really like this shot, the detail and colours are great.

I disagree with it being mundane. It was one of my fav's in this challenge.

A glove with a ball in it? That's a catch right? I'm guessing the arm attached belongs to a Royal and not a White Sox

Not voting in this challengebut if I was this would score very highly. Great sharpness on the stitches and I can almost smell the leather of the glove
