Taken at the zoo in Sacramento. This little guy was hamming it up for mom.
Glad I got his one whole hand in the shot. Otherwise, I don't think this would work at all.

Shot with Tamron MF 80mm-210m macro zoom. My camera won't record metadata with this lens, so I don't know for sure what zoom this was, but I think it was close to 210mm.

Little kids are often great subjects. I like to photograph them when they are not looking. The hand does make the image better as you said, and the fish watching the boy make the focus turn even more to the boy. I like this a lot. It's just fine right from the camera.

roger... excellent .. excellent ... love the colours duplicated in his shirt and the fish .. love the child's posture and his expression .. like 'wots more interesting? .. obviously not the fish!!' .. love the contrast between the dark in the fish tank and the outside .. a great shot ......
