A very handsome dog. This was your first challenge entry?

Thanks for the recent commenton my From Above wheaten entry. On your excellent suggestion, I have gone back and tagged a few other times I have resorted to using my beloved dog as a model. It must take some time to update their search index because they are not coming up yet.

7 - Nice pose/capture, almost human like. The black background works but wonder about a variation. Like to have seen this even sharper as well, seems some slight blur/movement. edit:typo

What a wonderful expression on this doggie! Love the open mouth which I see as an open smile and you caught a bit of light reflected in the eye that makes me think he has a 'twinkle' in his eyes. Lighting is spot on perfect. Focus is great. The simple and clean black background offers the highest contrast such that Archie can really pop off the page visually. You made him the star of this composition as it shows. Great job.
