I'm not sure I get the reference in the title (I'll have to come back and see if you explain it in the photographer's notes), but I like this a lot. I wonder if it might be a little stronger with just a tad bit more depth of field to give a better sense of pattern and repitition.

the pink / purple color keeps getting me back to your photo. I like it. the DoF might be a little bit too small, but overall I think you did a great job :)
