plastic pigs hanging vertically by their tails with black cotton
black card on floor for background
photo of the earth raised up of the ground and at angle to keep it a right angles to the camera
pigs lit with flashlight with red cellophane filter
from right with white reflector card on left to bounce color back
16 sec exposure total
second flashlight to illuminate world photo for 6 secs then used to light each pig separately to reduce red color to make it closer to pink for about 8 secs total
editing using GIMP
burn background to make it blacker
use curves brighten world
use curves to mack the pigs pinker
clone out black cotton
USM to boost contrast
flatten
resize
USM
border
save for web

I aint never seen flying pink pigs! Accept for a pig form in the clouds... This is pretty good!

Huge shame about the really bad noise levels on the rear pig's rump, presumably caused by hue shifting. I love this shot otherwise!

Light source on the subjects comes from different directions, looks un-natural. The pink-ness is just a bit too strong, almost like a glare.

this is definitely different. I like the composition and the creativity. It's a little pixelated on the closest pig but cool photo nonetheless.

Flying pigs... Very "Pink Floydesque". Very imaginative and well executed. The pigs are very grainy and noisy though. A software like Neat Image would highly improve this picture and it's worth it, it's really a great shot.
