True, 'overprocessed' stuff never does well in the challenges, but I'm always glad to see the more experimental stuff. Just don't enter it to get a high score : )
The processing is cool and the composition is great (the lines and shapes of the candles especially). Keep it coming!
nice entry, max, sorry it didn't finish higher. it got a 7 from me. i think you might have been voted down for over-processing. while pleasing to some (i like it, neil liked it), most voters want the vivid colors to also include razor sharp photographic detail (for example check out the ebeneezer corkscrooged entry in hidden faces. i know that will be a top 10, and wouldn't be surprized if it doesn't blue.) all the same, keep shooting! good luck!
Happy Hannukah. I was thinking the same thing tonight. Shot some of these, but haven't even looked at them yet because i was pretty determined not to enter this one. I like the way you've captured so few colors here. Gives it a nice graphic look.
